Leinweber Foundation

Larry Leinweber is a software entrepreneur and philanthropist with a lifelong curiosity about big ideas. He founded New World Systems, a company that built software for local governments and public safety agencies across the country, and later established the Leinweber Foundation to support research, education, and community programs that can make a lasting difference.

Through the Foundation, Larry has committed more than $100 million to create a network of Leinweber Institutes and Forums in theoretical physics at leading universities, including Caltech. His vision is to give scientists the time and freedom to think deeply, take risks, and pursue questions that reach beyond the horizon of what we know.
